There are about 20 species of burdock in the world, and most of them are medicinal plants used to treat various diseases. Almost all parts of the plant – leaves, seeds, roots, and stems – are used in medicine. Each of these parts contains a large number of beneficial components, minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and essential oils. They have a complex effect on the body, can normalize the gastrointestinal tract, and also treat diseased joints.
The roots of burdock have gained the most popularity in folk medicine. They are very large, reaching 150 cm underground, convenient for drying and storage, but most importantly, they are saturated with a huge amount of useful substances. In addition, the root is often used in cooking to prepare various dishes.

This is because burdock is grown under the right conditions, without the use of chemicals, making it safer.
Burdock tincture has a very strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, which makes it so effective in combating joint diseases. It has a positive effect on tissues, cartilage, and fibers due to the beneficial components and mucus contained in burdock. With a course of treatment with burdock tincture, joint pain can be significantly reduced or completely eliminated. Moreover, this remedy has no side effects, does not affect the liver or stomach. But in any case, before using the tincture, it is necessary to consult a doctor, especially if the person is already taking medication.

RECIPE 1 – CLASSIC TINCTURE
Ingredients:
• Burdock root – 2 cups;
• Vodka or alcohol – 0.5 liters.

Method of preparation:
The burdock root should be finely chopped. Take two cups of this plant, pour half a liter of vodka or alcohol. It is best to use quality vodka. The mixture should be placed in a dark place for a week, periodically removing and stirring. After that, the tincture should be taken out, strained, and preferably poured into a convenient jar. Take one tablespoon of tincture of the root 3 times a day before meals.
This tincture can also be rubbed on stretched ligaments to relieve pain. In addition, it is used for medicinal compresses, leaving compresses on the affected area for half an hour. This remedy is especially useful in cold weather for elderly patients.
