Folk Remedies for Warts

Warts are a viral skin condition, and it’s important to keep this in mind. While some people try to cut off a wart, this doesn’t eliminate the virus, and you could easily introduce an infection into the wound.

Folk Remedies for Warts:

  • Greater celandine: Cut the celandine plant near the root to release orange sap. Apply this sap to the surface of the wart several times. Apply twice a day.
  • Spurge infusion: Regularly soak your hands in an infusion made from 2 small sprigs of spurge. Cut the sprigs, pour warm water over them, crush the pieces in the water, and then soak your hands.
  • Cornflower seed powder: Crush the seeds into a powder, generously sprinkle it on the warts, and bandage them. Repeat daily.
  • Tincture of thuja and juniper shoots: Mix 1 part shoots with 5 parts vodka. Let it infuse for 3 weeks, strain, and apply to individual warts 2 times a day for 3-5 weeks.
  • Rowanberries: Apply a paste made from fresh rowanberries to the wart. For small, young warts, use dandelion juice.
  • Onion in vinegar: Soak an onion in vinegar essence or vinegar for 2 hours and then tie it to the wart overnight. It will sting, but repeat the process several times until the wart comes out with the root.
  • Apple: Rub the wart with a fresh slice of apple for a few minutes, 5-6 times a day for 3-4 weeks.
  • Hare’s cabbage roots and leaves: Crush them into a paste, apply to the wart, and bandage it.
  • Garlic: Rub the wart with a clove of garlic. Finish the treatment with a clay poultice.
  • Dandelion juice: Use dandelion juice to treat small, young warts.
