An unhealthy lifestyle poses numerous problems. Insomnia, obesity, stress, and depression caused by it lead to the development of chronic diseases. Atherosclerosis of the cerebral vessels tops the danger list among them. Cholesterol plaques on the surface of the vessels not only deform them but also complicate blood flow, affecting the quality of blood supply to the brain. Cerebral vascular atherosclerosis (referred to by doctors as “cerebral”) is most often diagnosed in heavy smokers, elderly people, as well as those with diabetes and hypertensive patients.
Normalization of blood pressure
Vascular health is characterized by their elasticity and patency. These indicators deteriorate significantly in people suffering from hypertension. As a result, they are more prone to cerebral atherosclerosis than others.
With a predisposition to high blood pressure, attention should be paid to its normalization. For this purpose, the following remedy can be applied: mix 0.25 cups of carrot juice with the same amount of beetroot juice, add one teaspoon of honey and a quarter of a chopped lemon. This cocktail should be consumed in the morning and evening, preparing it fresh each time. The course of treatment lasts for 7-10 days.
Herbalist
Treatment of cerebral vascular atherosclerosis with folk remedies actively uses herbs. Here are just a few effective recipes.
Take 1 tablespoon each of peppermint leaves, wild strawberry, field horsetail, and dill. Take 3 tablespoons each of dried dandelion roots, sage leaves, dog nettle, and rosehip berries. Pour this mixture with a liter of boiling water, let it infuse for 1.5-2 hours. Take it with a 6-8 hour interval for 30 days.
A tablespoon (with a bitter taste) of lemon balm is poured with a glass of boiling water. After infusing and straining, take 3-4 tablespoons of the decoction four times a day.
Gray sage lowers the level of “bad” cholesterol. From it, Bolotov’s kvass is prepared: 50 grams of raw material are placed in a cheesecloth bag, poured with three liters of boiled (cooled) water. Add one teaspoon each of low-fat sour cream and sugar. Put the infusion in a warm place for 14 days. Consume half a glass before meals.
Raw potato bulbs are grated finely, the juice is squeezed and consumed. The juice should be consumed in the morning for at least six months.
Diet
Medicinal treatment of cerebral vascular atherosclerosis with folk remedies is complemented by diet No. 10 (according to Pevzner). Its peculiarity lies in excluding animal fats from the diet, an excess of which leads to the formation of cholesterol plaques. Also excluded are pickles, marinades, spicy foods, mushroom and fish broths, cold soups, pastries, chocolate, strong tea, and coffee.
Vegetable salads, vinaigrettes, and greens are recommended without limitation. Two to three times a week, you can consume lean chicken broth soups. All dairy products are allowed in the diet (except for fatty cheeses).
For cerebral atherosclerosis, it is recommended to consume forest and walnuts, as well as dried fruits.
Physical activity
After consulting with a doctor, one can engage in simple physical exercises. Therapeutic exercises and walking are recommended for almost everyone. Depending on age and general health, swimming, cycling, and morning jogging can be practiced.
