Vulvitis is a gynecological condition characterized by inflammation of the external genital organs. Vulvitis is most common in adolescent girls and elderly individuals, which is explained by the increased vulnerability of the mucous membrane of the genital organs at younger and older ages.

Vulvitis is an extremely unpleasant condition. It’s not just about the presence of the disease itself, but also the painful sensations in the intimate area, which create significant discomfort during movement and when attending to natural needs.

The acute form of vulvitis is characterized by redness and swelling of the external genital organs, abundant discharge, and an increase in body temperature. Without the patient’s response to vulvitis, the disease progresses into a chronic form, making it much more difficult to get rid of.

Causes
There are several main reasons for the development of vulvitis. Firstly, it’s due to neglect of personal hygiene. Vulvitis in girls can develop due to wearing tight and rough clothing, excessive use of antibiotics, as well as hormonal imbalances in the body. Among other reasons, there is a lack of vitamins, prolonged use of hygiene pads, scratching of the genital organs during other irritations and diseases, and the presence of pathological fissures.

Treatment

Treatment of vulvitis at home using traditional methods involves taking baths with the addition of herbs, ointments, lotions, infusions, and decoctions.
