PREPARATION OF HAWTHORN FRUIT DECOCTION FOR INSOMNIA

When insomnia is a result of stress, depression, nervous tension, or intense mental strain, hawthorn can help normalize sleep. Hawthorn fruits have a sedative effect, which helps overcome insomnia associated with nervous disorders.

The calming effect of consuming these fruits is due to the healing properties of specific components found in them:

Oleanolic acid improves the blood circulation of the nervous system.
Hyperoside stimulates the contractile property of the myocardium, stabilizing heart function.
Vitexin dilates blood vessels, normalizing metabolism in the heart muscle.
Quercetin improves blood circulation in the brain, relieving headaches.
HOW AND WHO SHOULD CONSUME HAWTHORN?

To get rid of insomnia, the hawthorn decoction according to this recipe should be consumed throughout the day. Since the remedy induces drowsiness and may reduce concentration, it is advisable not to drink it while driving.

Hawthorn is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in cases of vegetative-vascular dystonia, and liver diseases. Hypotensive individuals should consume it with caution.

INGREDIENTS:

Hawthorn fruits: 1 tablespoon
Water: 200 ml
PREPARATION:

Place hawthorn fruits in a saucepan. Pour boiling water over them.
Put it on a water bath for 30 minutes.
Remove the container and cover it with a lid. Let the mixture steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain.
Adults should consume the decoction 1/3 cup three times a day, 30 minutes before meals. Additionally, it can be consumed before bedtime: 100 ml 1-2 hours before sleep.
