Natural Remedies for Kidney Diseases: Herbal Treatments and Home Cures

Kidney Diseases – Folk Medicine Recipes

Kidney and Bladder Diseases – My Remedy for Cystitis

● I completely cured my bladder inflammation with this recipe. I mixed equal proportions of garden dill and parsley, knotweed, St. John’s wort, and thyme. I poured 300 ml of boiling water over one tablespoon of the herbal mixture and let it cool. I drank half a glass three times a day. I followed this treatment for 20 days, then took a 10-day break and repeated the cycle three times. After this, I experienced complete relief. The medicinal herbs in my recipe have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and diuretic properties.

● Here’s another tip: if you suffer from frequent painful urination, pour one liter of boiling water into a small pot or children’s chamber pot, add a tablespoon of baking soda, and sit over it. Wrap yourself in a blanket to retain the steam and warm up well – the pain will subside. At the same time, you can place a warm heating pad on your lower abdomen for 15-20 minutes twice a day.

Kidney Diseases – Treating Pyelonephritis

● My daughter suffered from pyelonephritis for several years. We had multiple hospital treatments every year, but they only managed to ease the acute symptoms. One day, while walking outside the city with my daughter, I saw a woman gathering a medicinal herb. This kind lady told me about a unique healing plant – Goat’s Beard (Tragopogon), which effectively treats pyelonephritis. She gave me a recipe and explained how to prepare the infusion. So, we began kidney treatment.

● By 9 a.m., we gathered Goat’s Beard herb, washed it, dried it in the shade, and finely chopped it. We brewed 1.5 tablespoons of the plant with 1.5 cups of boiling water and let it steep for 20 minutes. Then, we added a little sugar. The infusion had no distinct taste or smell and strongly resembled regular tea in color. I treated my daughter for one month by giving her half a glass three times a day. For prevention, we repeated this course once a year for a month. After two years, my daughter fully recovered, as confirmed by medical examinations, blood tests, and ultrasound scans.

● Goat’s Beard usually grows in wastelands. It belongs to the Asteraceae family, is an annual plant, and closely resembles a dandelion. Its flowers are light yellow, but unlike dandelions, its milky sap is not bitter. The plant gets its name from its faded flower heads, which resemble a goat’s beard. It grows in the wild on every continent except the Northern Hemisphere and Antarctica. The roots of Goat’s Beard contain fats, choline, proteins, asparagine, and minerals such as iron, potassium, phosphorus, and calcium, as well as vitamins A, C, E, and B₁. In folk medicine, this plant is successfully used to treat liver, heart, and kidney diseases.

Kidney Diseases – Treating Enuresis

● Steep one tablespoon of St. John’s wort (including flowers) in 300 ml of boiling water, wrapping the container to keep it warm, for 2-3 hours. Drink half a glass three times a day before meals, but no later than 6 p.m.!

● Simmer two tablespoons of a mixture of lingonberry berries and leaves in two cups of boiling water over low heat for 10 minutes. Cool and strain. Give the child half of the decoction throughout the day in several doses before 6 p.m.!

● Brew two tablespoons of St. John’s wort and two tablespoons of lingonberry leaves and berries in three cups of boiling water. Then, simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, let cool, and strain. Drink the decoction in small sips throughout the morning until 6 p.m.

● In folk medicine, the most effective remedy for enuresis has long been considered a mixture of centaury and St. John’s wort. Mix them in equal parts, brew one teaspoon of the blend, and give it to the child instead of tea in the morning and afternoon until 6 p.m.

● I am 83 years old. When I was young, I worked at a kindergarten of the Moscow “Naftogaz” factory, where I used a simple recipe to treat enuresis in children. I gave children under 3 years old one teaspoon of honey before bedtime, those aged 3 to 5 years a dessert spoon, and those aged 5 to 7 years a tablespoon. The key rule was to take honey at night without drinking anything and then go to bed.

Kidney Diseases – Treating Chronic Pyelonephritis

● Take one teaspoon each of bearberry, field horsetail, and birch leaves. Pour 200 ml of boiling water over the herbs. After 20 minutes, drink the entire infusion. The course of treatment lasts one month. At the same time, eat three tablespoons of cranberries three times a day.

Kidney Diseases – Treating Nephritis

● Pour two cups of boiling water over two teaspoons of dried and crushed chicory herb. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, then immediately strain (do not steep!). Drink half a glass of warm decoction 20 minutes before meals, three times a day. We have successfully used this recipe not only for kidney treatment but also for pancreatitis and cholecystitis.

● Aspen decoction is also effective for treating kidney and bladder diseases. Simmer one tablespoon of aspen leaves, bark, and twigs over low heat for 10 minutes. Drink half a glass of warm decoction three times a day.

Stay healthy, my dear friends, and may God bless you!
