This rather unpleasant phenomenon occurs in about 10% of children. There are dozens of pharmacological and psychotherapeutic methods to address it. The condition tends to be cyclical, with exacerbations during which enuresis can occur once or more each night. The exact cause of enuresis remains unknown to doctors.
Enuresis is often a result of general neurosis, necessitating psychotherapy, hydrotherapy, and physical exercise.
